Activities
in and around Duck Creek Village
The
Blue Pine Touring and Sports
Center at Pinewoods offers tours, recreational activities and equipment
for all seasons.
Summer
Playground
Recreational
activities galore are available for young and old, both near and far,
both serene and challenging.

Play
table tennis, pool, or foosball in the recreation room of the lodge.

The
Volleyball, Badminton Court, Horseshoe Pit, Archery Range, and hard
surface Basketball Court are all in our recreation center next to the
lodge.

An
impressive Fire Pit with seating for group gatherings is also
available.

Paintball
Games with gear and a forest playing area add an exciting group
activity.

Mountain
Bikes are available for rent at Pinewoods, with horseback riding and
ATV rentals available through private vendors. Exploring forest trails
and visiting nearby destination sites has never been easier.

Fishing
and boating along with hunting are standard fare for Cedar Mountain
with its lakes, streams and forest.

Hiking
the cool and cushioned earth among the forest trails and old logging
roads offers both exercise and inner peace for the soul.
Winter
Wonderland
Winter
is full of beauty and excitement at Pinewoods as it opens up other areas
of enjoyment and recreation. This high plateau offers the most
reliable snow in the southwestern United States. The surrounding
hills and valleys provide the ultimate in diverse terrain and scenic
beauty without the danger of avalanches.

Snowmobiles
can be rented at the resort with over 200 miles of groomed trails
to follow, unlimited meadows to play in, and old logging roads to
explore. Clothes and maps area available as needed.

Cross
Country skis and equipment are also for rent for the nature and
aerobic enthusiasts. The terrain takes you gently upward as you
move away from Pinewood, while providing a delightful glide home at
the end of the day.

Snowshoes
can be rented for serious treks through the forest or for playing
Paintball games during Winter.

You can
follow the trails and back roads to numerous exciting and scenic
destinations. Some of the site on the plateau include: Mammoth Cave,
Cascade Falls, and Strawberry Point (to name a few).
Outward-bound
Adventures
In
any season, with Pinewoods' central location, you can choose your own
direction for exploring the incredible scenic and historical attractions
in Southern Utah.
Within a two hour driving distance from Pinewoods, you can visit Capitol
Reef and Bryce National Park to the North, Zion and Grand
Canyon National Park to the South. Don't forget to visit Red
Cliffs and Lake Powell on your way down to the Grand Canyon.
To the west is Cedar Breaks, and the red-rock country of Snow
Canyon in St. George. During summer you can attend the world
renown Shakespearean Festival Theatre in Cedar City, The
Renaissance Faire, or The Utah Summer Games.
You
can include in your tours Indian ruins and petroglyphs, ghost towns, and
restored ranches, as well as: the Petrified Forest, Calf Creek Falls,
and the Escalante Badlands. Visit the Grand Canyon,
enjoy the fishing and boating at Lake Powell, go rafting down the
Colorado River, play golf or tennis in St. George, gamble
in the casinos of Mesquite, Nevada, or combine trips to Bryce
Canyon or Zion National Parks, with an afternoon of fishing
or boating at Pinewoods Resort.
